Composing Sounding Bowl music I discovered that the process was mainly about listening. This piece is composed for the very instruments I play it on. It could be played on some other Sounding Bowls but not on all types. Their quality – although all of them have the same high standard of sound quality – differs depending on the type of wood, the size of the bowl/s, the tuning and the playing technique. This piece, called “Peace” was composed for a wedding in August 2012.
